Jim Wilson is a highly experienced media and technology and business transformation executive with the proven ability to define vision and strategy and drive execution for companies.  He has consistently demonstrated the ability to attract, empower and develop top talent and deliver strong ROI-based revenue growth through the application of technologies for brand and content development.

Wilson is also currently the President of Premion, the “Over-the-Top” business, at TEGNA, the $3B broadcasting and digital company.  Under his leadership the company has pivoted its business to include revenue and content from the high growth OTT market that also includes Hulu, Netflix and Amazon.

Wilson is a co-founder and board member of g-dii, acting in the role of chief product and marketing officer.  He is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Prowdr Media Corp, a digital media lifestyle channel focused on the LGBTQ market, and an advisor to Mutagen, a SaaS based online and mobile games company.

Prior to TEGNA, he has held senior executive roles at TouchTunes, Atari, Sony Wonder and Universal that resulted in business transformation and new revenue growth that led to maximizing enterprise value.   As the Chief Operating Officer at TouchTunes, Wilson develop and execute the next stage of growth for the world’s largest in venue interactive on demand music and entertainment platform that led to its sale to Searchlight Capital in 2015.   As the CEO of Atari, Wilson led a global business and executed the successful operational transformation of its core business from a retail distributor to a multi-platform digital publisher delivering new revenue and consistent profitability. As Executive Vice President and General Manager of Sony Wonder, Wilson expanded revenue and profitability.   As President of the games business at Universal, he built a market leader and launched some of the most successful video-game franchises of all time..

He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and is an alumnus of Loyola University in Maryland.  Wilson has been active in philanthropy and fundraising as board member of the Forestdale Foster Care Agency and championing the cause of the First Star Charity for Children as its 2012 Honoree.  He is currently a member of the Diversity Committee at The Allen-Stevenson School.
